I think about skincare formulation the way I think about an orchestra. Every ingredient is its own instrument — capable of doing something on its own, but truly remarkable only when working in harmony with everything else around it. Kokum Butter is the anchor of this formula. It's deeply moisturizing, non-comedogenic — meaning it won't clog your pores — and rich in essential fatty acids that support skin regeneration and reduce inflammation. One of the things that surprised even me during testing was how lightweight the final product feels on the skin despite Kokum Butter being such a dense, nourishing ingredient. Getting that balance right took months.

Jojoba Oil is one of nature's most remarkable skincare ingredients because it isn't technically an oil at all — it's a liquid wax that closely mimics your skin's own natural sebum. That's why it absorbs so seamlessly and why it works across every skin type. It doesn't fight your skin's biology. It works with it.

Argan Oil brings anti-inflammatory properties, rich fatty acids, and antioxidant protection to the formula. It's the ingredient that supports healing, reduces redness, and promotes overall skin resilience. Think of it as the repair component of the orchestra.

Grapeseed Oil is lightweight, easily absorbed, and packed with antioxidants. It helps improve skin elasticity and brings a toning quality to the formula without adding heaviness. It's also what keeps the final texture feeling clean rather than greasy.

Glycerin is a humectant — it attracts and retains moisture that's already present in the skin rather than adding water from the outside. This is actually a critical distinction. The Everyday Face Cream isn't designed to dump moisture onto your skin. It's designed to help your skin hold onto what it already has. That's what makes it work so well across genuinely different skin types — oily, dry, combination, sensitive — because it's supporting your skin's natural moisture balance rather than overriding it.

Olivem 1000 is the emulsifying agent that brings the oil and water phases of the formula together. I won't pretend this was easy. Getting those two phases to actually emulsify properly took more trial and error than any other part of the formulation process. Too little emulsifier and the formula separates. Too much and the texture becomes heavy and unabsorbable — what I'd describe as a slimy cake layer sitting on top of the skin rather than actually working. Finding that balance was one of the longest parts of development.

Geogard ECT is our preservative system, and it's one I'm genuinely proud of. It's all-natural and Ecocert certified — a designation that requires ingredients to meet strict environmental and safety standards. It does contain a small amount of salicylic acid as part of its natural composition, but at the concentration present in our formula there is no therapeutic effect. It's there purely as part of the preservation system, doing its job quietly in the background.

The result of all of this is a cream that goes on light, absorbs cleanly, and works. In our own testing it handles my oily T-zone, my wife's sensitive skin, and my mother-in-law's dry skin — all with the same formula. That versatility isn't an accident.
